HUMAN TRAFFICKING IS SLAVERY. 

Human trafficking is modern-day slavery and involves the use of force, fraud, or coercion to obtain some type of labor or commercial sex act.

It is the illegal trade of human beings. People everyday all over the world are being forced into prostitution, barbaric working conditions, and bound from freedom. It is violent. It is physically, emotionally, and spiritually abusive. It is slavery. 

It is real, and their are more slaves today then ever in history.

However, we are fighting for freedom world-wide. Join the fight. 

Every 26 seconds a child is sold into slavery

THERE ARE MANY WAYS CHILDREN ARE SOLD: 

Children as young as a few months old are sold into sex slavery.

 

A virgin is worth $5,000 - $10,000 for their first sale.

 

Out of 20.9 million that are estimated to be trafficked, 26% involve children. 

A GLOBAL ISSUE

The International Labour Organization estimates that there are 40.3 MILLION victims of human trafficking globally.

68% of them are trapped in forced labor.

26% of them are children.

55% are women and girls. 

In 2016, an estimated 1 out of 6 endangered runaways reported to the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children were likely child sex trafficking victims.*

THE FASTEST-GROWING CRIMINAL INDUSTRY IN THE WORLD. 

It is estimated that trafficking generates over $150 Billion USD every year.

 

There are millions of slaves today, more than ever in human history.

Traffickers use different methods to recruit victims such as: 

1.    False job advertisement

2.    Being sold by a family member

3.    Being "in love"

4.    Abduction

5.    Trafficked by a friend

6.    False immigration

7.    Other*   

SIGNS OF SLAVERY.

If you suspect that someone is being trafficked, say something. 

Look for clues that may identify a trafficking victim. Know the warning signs: 

Signs of physical abuse such as burn marks, bruises or cuts

Unexplained absences from school, truancy

Less appropriately dressed than before

Sexualized behavior

Overly tired or falls asleep in class

Withdrawn, depressed, or distracted

Brags about making or having lots of money

Displays expensive clothes, accessories, or shoes

New tattoo (tattoos are often used by pimps as a way to brand victims.)

Older boyfriend, new friends with a different lifestyle, or gang involvement

Disjointed family connections, running away, living with friends, or experiencing homelessness *
